Jessica: Things seem different today. No more books?
Instructor: This is the midterm exam, a test of what you have learned in the past few days.

Jessica: Okay, I see, another quiz game. Actually it's not that fun ...
Instructor: Please take a serious attitude to the test, and provide answers to the questions I ask.
Instructor: I hope you can do it better this time, to prove that we have delivered you from barbarism onto the path of reason.
Instructor: Now, close your eyes. You will see a sheet of white light. Place your finger on the designated spot.

Instructor: The situation is not good. We can hardly feel optimistic about this.
Instructor: The result shows that you haven't been strict with yourself.
Instructor: We are going to make some adjustments to the curriculum to achieve a better result for you.
Instructor: But before that happens...
Instructor: Please return to your dorm in 15 minutes and freshen up.
Instructor: An urgent call will be put through to your dorm shortly. Please do not leave the room before answering it.
Instructor: Remember what I have taught you -- always express your gratitude to the people who are willing to lend a helping hand. If it weren't for that lady, you wouldn't have these special treatments.
Jessica: Hmm?
Jessica: Who do you mean by "that lady"?
Jessica: Whoa!
Jessica: Vertin!
Vertin: Hello, Jessica.
Jessica: I knew it was you!
Jessica: Many friends have come and played with me these days! But still this place is too small. I wanna go somewhere bigger!
Vertin: I will ... look into that as soon as possible.
Vertin: If I remember it correctly, you have an exam today, right?
Jessica: You mean that special game I played earlier?
Jessica: Yeah, it was the exact same game, quite a boring one.
Jessica: But it's still more fun than listening to the instructor's story!
Vertin: I'm glad ... to find that you have kept your energy up.
Vertin: Whether the exam result turns out to be good or not, we have plenty of opportunities to turn things around.
Vertin: You will have the rest of the day all to yourself. Make good use of it and have fun.
Vertin: You can also get in touch with other friends whom you want to meet. Perhaps they can offer some help. 
Jessica: I will!

Jessica: Is anything bothering you? Are you in trouble?
Vertin: ...It's nothing, don't worry.

Jessica: I've run out of the good berries, but I guess I can prepare a song for you!
